The one and only, Towelie.

As I’m sure many of you have heard, this is Towelie’s catchphrase on South Park. However, what many of you may not know is that May 25th is Towel Day. The holiday was created in 2001 as a day of remembrance for Douglas Adams the author of  ”The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”. Every May 25th Douglas Adams fans are encouraged to carry a towel with them wherever they go as Adam’s mentioned several times in his book the value of a towel. Another interesting tid bit you might not know about Towelie, South Park’s resident stoner, is that he was created by the writer’s of South Park in order to atirize the commercialism surrounding the show. In the first episode about Towelie the writer’s even put in a fake commerical about Towelie. In honor of Towelie and towels everywhere, we at Marijuana Myth Busters hope that you are at least “maybe just a little high” right now.

PS: You’re a towel!
