Does using a grinder take away some THC on the marijuana? I know when you grind weed you get keif and that takes some stuff off the marijuana, but does some of the THC actually rub off on the grinder, So you lose a little bit when you grind it. Anyways thanks in advance! :)

Definitely. Some of it sticks to the grinder… so, scrape out your grinder. Some of it sticks to the grinder, and some of it falls down into the kief catcher if a grinder has one. Just scrape it off and smoke it up. In fact, you’ve inspired me to go do that right now.

i meant turn marijuana into water to drink?

Probably, just as you can with any plant. Cover several branches in a plastic bag, make sure the plant is in the sun, come back in few hours, the bag will have some water in it. You can thank Bear Grylls for that one.

I know every stoner has to know what im talking about when i say this. CAN YOU GET HIGH OFF SOME WEED YOUR DOG EATS LIKE 2-3 DAYS AGO? i rolled a few blunts and left them on my tray. well my dog Sativa came in and thought she could have a lil munchin out time and decided to eat all 3 B’s off mah tray. after all the anger i got out smoking the blunt i had in hand, i thought about cheech and chong and started to laugh my ass off cuz i rememberd is when they were smokin that super dog shit blunt LOL

Technically, the weed still contains THC as it needs to be converted into a fat soluble substance before a human/dog can digest it. In natural form it must be smoked in order to become active/psychoactive. You could smoke it, but we can’t honestly recommend that you do that. Good luck, bro.

is keef/smoke/ash from bud good for bud plants?

    • Mythbuster
#11 written by Mythbuster  8 months ago

Keef… no. Smoke… no. Ash… maybe. But, the best would be compost made with scraps from previous grows. After you have harvested all the buds and harvested all the extra keif off the trimmings, you could compost whatever is left and unusable otherwise. This compost would make a good growing medium for your future grows as it is rich in the nutrients needed to grow marijuana seeing as it is compost made from marijuana.

Does ghost hits (keeping the smoke in your lungs for a long period of time so that no smoke comes out when you exhale) get you more higher? And is it safe?

    • Mythbuster
#13 written by Mythbuster  8 months ago

It provides more time for your lungs to absorb the THC in the smoke. After a certain length of time this is no longer effective, some people have said this optimal time is around 6 seconds. All in all, it is probably safe. However, more research needs to be done into the effectiveness and safety of this classic smoking method.

Does shocking or stressing a plant during the flowering stage, increase the THC%?

    • Mythbuster
#15 written by Mythbuster  8 months ago

This is a technique that is used to turn the buds purple, however it does not increases the THC percentage. It is a very common misconception that purple weed is the best. In reality, growers who are advanced enough to understand how to turn weed purple are also not in the business of growing an inferior product, so in the end the average purple weed might be better than the average green weed, but the reason is not in the color. Long story short, shocking the plant during flowering will not increase THC content.

I recently took a pre employment piss test the results came back + level 71 even though i haven’t smoked in quite some time. However i was injured on the job two weeks before , is it possible that the THC produced natural in the body could reach this level and would the THC that is found be the same as if i would have smoked or ingested .

How long didn’t you smoke for? It is possible that THC can remain in your system for several months.

    • Mythbuster

Absolutely, but better than resin… You should look in to hash oil.

supposedly growing under blue or red, lights makes your plants grow way more bushy with substantially more bud, ive tried red and yellow LED’s combined and had amazing success, i would like to see you guys test them all, as well supposedly green light stunts growth horribly.

    • Myth Buster
#25 written by Myth Buster  1 year ago

This is an awesome question. We will look in to red, yellow, and blue lights. However, plants appear green to our eyes because they reflect green light. If you ever need to access your grow room during the dark cycle during the flowering stage, you can safely use a green light without disturbing the plants. Essentially, plants don’t absorb green light, to make a long story short. But, for the long story check back soon.

When will we see an influx of LED lighting taking over high pressure sodium bulbs? Some speculate 5 years, others in the next 12 months…

    Thank you.

Based on our experience the technology is not there yet. Some LED set-ups claim their equivalency to 1000w bulbs etc on percentages of the power. However, based on the results of our endeavors we can assure you that this is simply not true. You get out of something what you put into it, and less energy is going to produce less yield. LED’s might be more efficient but they are not as powerful. It is hard to say when LED’s will take over the market as they are likely to take over all of our lighting needs, not just for growing. As it stands now I would say that is whenever they become cost effective, currently they are expensive in terms of upfront costs for what you will get out of them. We wish we had a more definitive answer for you, but that’s the best we’ve got right now. However, you have inspired us to write a more detailed post on this subject. So, check back soon for more details. Thanks for visiting and commenting, you brought up a really interesting topic.
